Plot

Sang-hyun is a third rate comedian who barely makes a living by working up the crowd between sets at a rundown nightclub. One day, a man and his son rush into the nightclub, looking for the owner. When he cannot contact the owner, the man leaves but is killed in an automobile accident. Sang-hyun witnesses the accident and is asked to take care of the son and deliver the briefcase that the man had been carrying to his wife. Sang-hyun takes the briefcase to the man's family who ask him to take Jae-young, the son, to his mother. Sang-hyun has a lot of debt from gambling and is being pressured to pay up, so when the family offer him money he takes it and sets off for the east coast, dreaming of stopping by the casino in Jungsun and hitting it big. He goes with Jae-young to the address he is given but the mother is nowhere to be found and creditors take all the money that the family had given him. Jae-young, who thinks his mother has abandoned him, and Sang-hyun wander around until they meet a dancer called Hanna in a third rate club and then continue on the journey to find Jae-young's mother together…
