Plot

I’m a novelist although I can’t afford to even buy office paper. My debut work “I Met Kafka” was a total flop, and the publisher that my friend Dae-seok used to own went flat broke. These days I’m too scared to sleep because of my wife who’s turning more and more like Hulk. Not long ago, my wife dragged me by the hand and made me get a job as a taxi driver, but I ended up hitting someone. I don’t have a choice but to take up that job as ghostwriter that Dae-seok mentioned. It turns out the “chairman” for whom I’m writing the biography is the boss of the Mancheoli-pa group, the biggest mob group in the country. I was so scared I almost wet my pants. I should have known better when he handed me all that cash. Now I’m stuck. He let me use his office and his car, and even put one of his boys as my personal bodyguard. But I still want to quit. Who knows what might happen to me if the boss doesn’t like my work? When I said something about the constitution and principle of warranty from what I had picked up at the university, the cops went away. I even saved the boss’s life, though I didn’t mean to.
