Plot

“Cheong Pung Myeong Wol” is the elite military academy established with the people’s wish for peace and prosperity. Ji-hwan and Gyu-yeop, the best swordsmen at the academy, vow to keep their friendship through life and death. After the training is over, Gyu-yeop is sent to the border and Ji-hwan receives his post at the palace. An attempt at deposition occurs, and Gyu-yeob is forced to participate or forsake the lives of his men. Gyu-yeop chooses his men instead of justice, and stands at the front of the deposition. In the chaos of screams and blood, Gyu-yeop stabs Ji-hwan in the chest. Ji-hwan collapses, his face full of disbelief and sorrow. Gyu-yeop feels as if his body was breaking down, and sheds painful tears. Five years since the deposition, those who had participated in the deposition are assassinated one after the other. The perpetrator penetrates the guards with ease and kills his targets brutally. Gyu-yeop, who had been looking for a lead, learns that the sword the assassin was carrying had the letters ‘Cheong Pung Myeong Wol’ written on it. Ji-hwan’s face flashes in Gyu-yeop’s mind. He persistently pursues the assassin until the two finally confront each other under the pale moonlight. It was Ji-hwan - he had returned as an assassin.
