Plot

To little monk Do-nyeom, the world is divided into two. First one is the world in the silent temple and the other is the bright, outside world filled with funny people. How come I don't have a mother and a father to talk to? Why am I a monk with no hair? Why do the kids downtown hate me? To a nine-year-old, the world is full of mysteries. Would monk Jeong-sim who lives quietly with the old monk know my secrets? Do-nyeom has a habit of waiting for someone. That is a pretty woman comes to pray annually. He has never seen anyone prettier than the woman. He wonders how great it would be if he had a mother like her.
