Plot

At age 30, Heo Bong-gu is a total bum who has to “borrow” his allowance from his parents. Today is by far one of the worst days of his life. Everything goes wrong, and all that he has left in his pocket after long day at the national reserve training camp is 300 won. With that, he buys a lighter. Having no bus fare, he hitches a ride and ends up at Seoul Station, which is not where he was headed. Whether by chance or fate, he leaves the lighter in the restroom. He goes back to retrieve it, only to find it in the hands of Yang Cheol-gon, a gang boss. Cheol-gon wanted to lead a decent life after helping Park Yong-gap in his election. But after becoming an assemblyman, Yong-gap will not see or even talk to Cheol-gon. Knowing that Yong-gap has boarded the train to attend a funeral in Busan, his plan is to board the train and talk to Yong-gap in person. Bong-gu ends up getting beaten up when he asks for the lighter, and he too gets on the train in reckless pursuit. As the train leaves Seoul Station, Cheol-gon makes his move. But things don’t go as he planned. Yong-gap, afraid his past deeds might be revealed, denies Cheol-gon’s demand. Cheol-gon takes the passengers as hostage and takes over the train, creating havoc. Police forces are stationed at every stop, but Cheol-gon and his gang force the train to keep going. In all this chaos, there is one man who stands up to Cheol-gon. That is, Bong-gu.
