Plot


When the camera starts rolling at the director's cue, Hayan and the actor start their sex scene. The moans of the actors break the silence. But a while later, the director yells 'cut' because the director of photography says he can see underwear...

Cab driver AHN Sung-il is searching for his missing taxi but not getting anywhere. Feeling tired, he makes his way to a motel that has memories of his missing wife and runs into a girl there. He finds his taxi at the impound but the picture on his license is that of fellow cab driver SUH Kyung-chul. Sung-il tracks down Kyung-chul, who has forged his ID and copied Sung-il's taxi, to a barber shop that operates late into the night and overhears a conversation between his wife, who has undergone plastic surgery to change her face, and SUH Kyung-chul.

'She' in color talks of many things with indifference. She speaks of encounters and sexual escapades in strange places and the loneliness that inevitably follows. In contrast, 'He' in black and white keeps rubbing his hands together and is obviously overwhelmed with anxiety. The face of 'He' lights up as he lays down on the operating table, and then his face also lights up in black and white as 'He' has now transformed into 'She'. This is a documentary about the life of Jin Xing who is a famous Chinese modern dancer now living as a woman after a sex-change operation.
