Plot

On one late autumn day in 1970, on a cold bench in a remote train station, the body of a beautiful young woman is discovered at dawn. Detective Oh pursues the case relentlessly thinking the victim could be the sister he lost during the Korean War. He discovers the woman was a prostitute and he proceeds to move his investigation to the red district. Detective Oh learns that her name was Chun-ja and that she lived with the dream of finding her brother she lost during the war. She met a construction foreman named Baek In-hwan. As they talked about their childhood, she learns that he is her brother. She then met her death. Detective Oh sobs saying that everyone is responsible for her death.
