Plot
Ae-ri, the daughter of Chairman Kang, is to marry the son of an influencial money broker in an arranged marriage. Vowing to avenge for President Pak who was sacrificed in the reckless plans of expansion by Chairman Kang, Sang-gu and Jae-gu kidnap Ae-ri. On their way to Jeju Island, Ae-ri feels a strange compassion for the two. On Jeju Island, Ae-ri meets Sung-gil who cultivates wasteland and falls for him. Jae-gu gets jealous and fights with Sung-gil. In the confusion, Ae-ri gets away and the police finally show up. They chase after Sung-gil who falls to his death. Jae-gu stands in the wasteland and embraces Sung-gil's dream. He reflects upon the true meaning of love.
