Plot

Sin-ae who has both wits and beauty lives with Ji Suk-wu, a businessman. Her unhappy marriage with Suk-wu almost drives her to suicide. Sin-ae discovers many letters and canvases of a stranger's face in her art studio. She tries to find the man. When Yo-han's father has a baby with his young new wife, Yo-han feels deeply left out so he escapes to a Buddhist temple in the mountain. He meets Sin-ae there and the two grow close. At this time, Suk-wu realizes that Sin-ae won't be back so he throws out a diary and jackknife before leaving. Yo-han learns of the truth and lies of Sin-ae from Suk-wu. Yo-han takes the jackknife, rushes to Suk-wu and stabs him.
