Plot

While on duty at the hospital, Young-bin gives Mi-ae emergency treatment for a drug overdose and alcohol addiction. Afterwards, Young-bin and Mi-ae run into each other repeatedly. They come to understand each other through their common love of liquor. Mi-ae is living with the vagabond Dong-hyuk whom she's known from their orphanage days. But Dong-hyuk torments Mi-ae. She drinks and takes sedatives to forget about him. Young-bin and Mi-ae try to get married but Dong-hyuk shows up and throws a fuss. From this shock, Young-bin throws himself into his volunteer work in a rural region without a doctor. Dong-hyuk tells Young-bin the whereabouts of the ill Mi-ae. Reunited with Mi-ae, Young-bin embraces her but the next day, her corpse arrives at the emergency room.
