Plot

Su-kyung shows signs of mental derangement. She falls in love with Mun-oh who is suffering from lung disease. Su-kyung has a baby and deceives Mun-oh into believing that it is his whereas it is actually Young-min's baby. Meanwhile, when Mun-oh tries to raise the child aware of the truth, Su-kyung throws a fit instead. She brings the baby to Young-min and leaves Mun-oh. Young-min leaves his daughter, Kyung-ah, with a minister. Mun-oh goes looking for her. Despite his failing health, Mun-oh regains courage watching Kyung-ah grows. But ultimately, Kyung-ah dies in a car accident. One day, Mun-oh visits Su-kyung at a mental institution. After spending a final night with Su-kyung, Mun-oh dies in a nursing home. Su-kyung realizes too late the true form of love and she starts again with new resolution.
