Professor Hyeon Jin-Wu meets a pickpocket girl Su-Hwa on a bus and he makes a vague appointment to meet her again on a rainy day. They meet again on a stormy day as they promised. Jin-Wu finds that Su-Hwa supports tuition and living expenses for her brother(sister). Thanks to Jin-Wu's help, Su-Hwa makes up her mind to get a job and they get along very well. A congratulation party for Jin-Wu who published his first book of poems is to be held. Su-Hwa dresses up and gets on a bus to the party. Suddenly she pickpockets unconsciously while she thinks about her brother's hardship. Then she runs away and is killed by traffic accident. Jin-Wu understands the whole story and sits alone with two cups of tea on the table without saying anything in the cafe where he has dropped with Su-Hwa.
