Plot

A Korean student in Tokyo organizes a book-reading club of Korean students and carries out independence movement based on the club. As Japanese persecution gets severe, the members start withdrawing from the club one by one. Even his girl friend leaves him. But he is never weakened and continues his anti-Japanese campaign only to be imprisoned. On August 15, 1945, he is released from the prison and boards on a ship heading for his mother country.
