Plot

At the end of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392), Lee Seong-gye was born to Lee Ja-chun as the second son and passes a state military examination in his early age. Then he reaches the highest ranked office in the State Department after having defeated Red Band Rebels and rooted out the Yozin Tribes who frequently invade into the north provinces. But he becomes the Chief of the General Staff and leads a great army to the north. But on his way to his mission, he turns his army toward the capital, conquers the royal palace, and dethrones King Gongyang to crown himself the king. He founds a new nation, naming it Joseon and moves the capital to Hanyang (now Seoul).
