Plot

After Lee Mong-nyong, first place winner in a state examination, punishes Byeon Hak-do, he goes up to Hanyang (now Seoul) with Chun-hyang. On the other hand, Byeon, who seeks his revenge on Lee, is given to party squabbles on the side of faction. When he gains power, he harasses Lee and Seong, who belong to the young faction. But, sooner or later, the people of Soron beat off the young faction and obtain power again. Then Byeon disappears, and Lee and Seong live happily again.
