Plot

Tae-yeong, the son of an independence fighter, leads a poor life with his widowed mother. He is strong, intelligent and takes good care of his mother. When other village kids tease him about his poverty, he consoles himself by thinking of his father who was a hero, who sacrificed his life for the freedom of the nation. In the end the village kids get to know that he is the son of an independence fighter. They regret their foolishness and become good friends of his.
