Plot

An impoverished father and daughter live in the country. The father has been bedridden for years now but the daughter is good to him. On the day of the school field day, the daughter enters the race to make her father happy. The prize for the person who comes in first is a magnificent one. Whenever she runs, the townspeople cheer for her, shouting, "Don't give up, Sun-ee!" At last, Sun-ee comes in first and embraces her wonderful prize as her father watches on in tears.
