Plot

Kimchi and bulgogi are served at the banquet that the president of Korea attends with the Japanese prime minister. The person who made the unbelievably delicious kimchi that even the Korean president falls in love with is the head chef for the Japanese prime minister, and it is soon discovered that this delicious dish is 'kimuchi' and not 'kimchi'. It also comes to light that the head chef is a genius female Korean chef called Jang-eun (KIM Jung-eun). Sung-chan, who won the knife of the last Korea royal chef, turns down a flood of offers to appear on TV and in advertisements and is traveling around selling groceries from his truck when he decides to go to Choonyanggak in order to visit Soo-hyang whom he had considered as his real mother. Soo-hyang tells him that her daughter Jang-eun wants to tear down Choonyanggak and asks him to preserve it… Chef Jang-eun puts everything on the line to tear down Choonyanggak. Orthodox chef Sung-chan enters the contest of the century to preserve the greatest cooking skills that Korea possesses. A battle begins at the Kimchi Competition, on which Korea's dignity depends, and Sung-chan's secret is slowly revealed…
