One day, someone’s cell-phone receives a message, whose number cannot be traced. Those that receive the call all die of heart attack, in a state of panic. Ji-won, who is a reporter of a magazine, decides to change her number when Cha Jin-wu, who had been mentioned in her article about adults paying minors for sex, keeps threatening her. But when she goes to the cell-phone shop, she cannot get any number other than 011-9998-6644. Afterwards, her friend Ho-jeong’s daughter Yeong-ju happens to answer the ringing phone, and she hears a shrieking noise through the phone. Ever since that incident, Yeong-ju begins to act strangely. She would stare with blazing jealousy whenever her mother Ho-jeong and father Chang-hun are together, even vomit over the flowers Chang-hun sends to Ho-jeong. Chang-hun is a successful entrepreneur and Ho-jeong is a best-selling writer, but they argue over Yeong-ju who is going through odd changes. Meanwhile, Ji-won keeps getting phone calls from a girl. One day she comes in danger by Cha Jin-wu, who claims to have lost everything because of her article. At that moment, Ji-won’s phone rings, and Jin-wu, who had carelessly picked up the phone, sees hallucinations of a pale girl, and has a heart seizure. Ji-won senses that the deaths and the phone are somehow connected, and begins to trace former owners of her phone number.
