Plot

Blind man Kim who lives by the river has a foster daughter Oh mong-nyeo. He is old and aged, but still feels sexual urges upon touching the skin of his grown daughter. Meanwhile, young men working on the foreshores attempt to court Oh mong-nyeo and swarm around her. One day, Oh mong-nyeo is faced with men trying to rape her and runs away to the foreshore to jump into one of the boats. The men and her blind father run after her but the boat has left already. Oh mong-nyeo gets engaged to the young ferryman Kim Il-hae and the two row off into the horizon in search of their paradise.
