In 1930, while Korea and China were occupied by Japan a trade ban was announced on the sale of pure and artificial silk. As a result a black market in these goods flourished. It was called "dobinori". Sirasoni joined the Yalu River ( a group of well meaning ruffians ) to get away from the Japanese police.
