| Yul-bo is a 'slash-and-burn' farmer living nearby Jiri Mountain. He looks after his elderly mother. Yul-bo meets Bu-yong, a vagabond performer, and they get married. However, Bu-yong waits for the return of her ex-boyfriend Ji-won who is also a vagabond performer. Yul-bo finds some expensive wild ginseng. Bu-yong steals it to run away with Ji-won when he comes. After a year, Ji-won shows up. Thinking that Bu-yong has betrayed him, Ji-won goes to kill her. However, he leaves after Yul-bo pleads with him. Bu-yong is also touched by Yul-bo's actions. She repents her past deeds and confesses her true love for him. |
