Min Yo-sup's body is found in the pray house near Taegu and detective Nam Kyoung-ho gets a clue from Yo-sup's friend, evangelist Hwang. He looks for Jo Dong-pal who was mentioned on Yo-sup's note to him as a persistent follower of his. Dong-pal's father and the prostitute Hyang-sun helps him discover their past seeking their own god and denying the Christian God. Dong-pal committed crime using the dead Kim Dong-wuk's name and married a prostitute in the past. Yo-sup turns to God in the end but gets killed by Dong-pal who is furious with betrayal. Dong-pal kills himself before the detective Nam denying his failure.
