This film is about the historical story of the royal family in the final stages of Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). As King Cheoljong passed away, Gojong takes the throne at a young age. His biological father Prince Dawon virtually takes care of the national affairs. However, Queen Min his daughter-in-law and Gojong's wife does not like his engagement. A power struggle breaks out between the father and daughter-in-law and finally Queen Min wins making Prince Daewon lose his political power.
