King Sukjong assigns Jang So-hee, a court lady, as an empress overnight. Jang forms a conspiracy to force the queen out of the palace. But with many barriers set up by the queen's faithful servants, she fails to get what she wants. Jang becomes furious by the incident. She conspires with her mother, and kills the queen, and tries to possess Sukjong. But the plan fails again, and she is executed in public.
